This annual celebration has something for everyone.  The Agricultural, 4-H, FFA, Canned Goods and Flower Show are just a tiny part of this outstanding celebration.  The Antique Power Show is held in Heritage Park with working antique engines used in farming and industry in the early part of the century.  Another interesting thing to see is the oil derrick (which is in Heritage Park) fired up for people to see.

There is a band and majorette competition held at the Roan County High School.  This event takes place following the Grand Parade.

The celebration has a carnival with a merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel and all the other wonderful rides for you to enjoy.  It isn't just for kids, adults should become a kid for a little while, just to enjoy the experience and flash back to the past.

Enjoy the Classic Steel Car Show.  The wide range of cars make for a most enjoyable experience.

Live music will take place for the entire celebration.  Enjoy it the entire time with different music.

The celebration is held in October annually.  There will be black walnuts available for sale, already shelled in one pound bags, in a wide array of dishes and even black walnut pancakes!

The celebration began in 1954 when it was just a one day event.  Now it is a 5 day celebration bringing thousands of people to the area.
